Have a 'Gansett

[Author's Note: This post is a test run of a photo project plan on doing in October.

The project will be to take a photo each day for the month of October and post it to the site, with a short backstory. Pretty much a photo journal. The challenge will be to make, edit, and post only using the iPhone. No processing on a PC.

On a trip to Potsdam, NY my girlfriend's father asked if I'd ever had Narragansett Beer. I told him no, and he told me how it used to be a very popular brew in New England with the cattily slogan "Have a 'Gsnsett". So popular that it was once the official beer of the Boston Red Sox. That clearly isn't the case today cause Bud Light is the official beer of everything.

Not too long ago, before making another trip to Upstate New York, I walked into Trade Joe's and found a six pack of the beer. I thought this
would be a fitting gift.

A week ago when walking through Brighton with my girl I came across this ad in the window of a small liquor store. It's funny, I never heard of the beer before her father told me about and I never saw an ad for it before this day. Is Narragansett making a comeback?
